Falling Freely

As it is last day in August, I felt it only appropriate to share my emotions regarding the matter: sad with a twist of Fall nostalgia stirrings. I can't believe how fast this year is wizzing by.  Just when I think I have a good 8 months to finish all my New Year's resolutions, the colored leaves remind me that time is as fleeting as a good grip on a solid branch.  But I'm not sorry. This has been a great year of successes after all. I managed to jump out of a plane at 14,000 ft with my beautiful bestie, Elizabeth. Nothing short of magical.  But this endless Summer is ending and my sweet sister is no longer on the other side of my paper thin bedroom wall.
At least I can try and tell myself that endings are just beginnings in disguise.
Perhaps these last four months will prove to be 2012's best.
Perhaps they will be mine, too.
Here are some pics of my sky falling adventure

Evergreen. Ever Loved.

Ever since my family and I moved from Spokane, Washington to Highland, Utah, I've had this little ache in my chest.  Nothing serious.  Just this little ache for the place that raised me -- my happy place.  I hadn't been back in the two years that I've been away.  That all changed when my mum, sister and I took a much overdue road trip to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. The three of us requested time off from our busy lives months in advance to dedicate a week-and-a-half to nothing but rubber on the road. 2,700 miles, 46 car hours, 5 cities, 4 Jack in the Box stops, and 1 sunburn later, you've got yourself a really good time. I don't know, there's something about breathing the same air in a 4x4 ft cabin space that really brings you together. The ties that bind...and gag.

Love you Spokane, Seattle, Portland, Lincoln City, and Priest Lake.
