It's Freezing

I'm kind of done with this weather.  My body aches, my hands are cracked, and I haven't shaved my legs in who knows how long.  It's too dang cold! I'm ready for some 85 degree, snow cone, walk out to my car without a jacket, kind of weather.  Don't get me wrong, if it were Summer, I'd probably still find an excuse to drink hot chocolate, wear cozy socks, and, lets face it, not shave my legs.  BUT at least I wouldn't be conveniently shivering away much needed, central heating system calories from all of those Christmas treats that have managed to survive this long.  I'm mean seriously, somebody hide them! I'm practically a hibernating bear without the pleasure of long naps.  OK! ok....I'll calm down.  The first three months of the year are always the hardest.  Soon it will be smooth sailing directly into a rightfully deserved swimsuit body. Sun on my shoulders.  Long, lazy days.  It's only a matter of time.  For now...?
Shiver. Eat. Repeat.

Do you ever feel....

...like something's not quite right?

Thank heavens for the new year.
Time for change.

Warm in December

Well, it's the last day of November.  Holy. Cow. And tomorrow is the last month of 2012.  I seriously can't even believe it. Come tomorrow morning and I will no longer get dirty looks for playing Christmas music too early.  I just have one thing to say about that:

Sibling Revelry

With siblings as close as we are, we just can't get enough of each other.  It was therefore decided that once a month, the boys would come to Kaylie's and my house in Provo and we'd have a fantastical dinner.  This last month, Chandler made his famous Red Pepper Chicken.  In a word: delicious.  Memories were made, tears were shed, and inches were added to the waistline.  A perfect success, if you ask me.  I just thank my lucky stars for these friends that I'm lucky enough to call family....Alfie and all.  Sure, we have our moments, but it's moments like these that I don't want to forget.
Cuz in the end, we're all we've got.

Sibling revelry...music to my ears.

$$$

I'm just a little bit in touch with this right now...

Glamour Shots

When your friend, Emily Hale, turns a quarter-of-a-century and wants to do glamour shots for her birthday, you channel Gloria Estefan, throw on your lace spandex, and you get to work!  Were we up the majority of the night? yep.  Did I eat an entire box of zebra cakes? Maybe.  Do I wonder every day why every single one of these girls in these photographs are not famous? Every dang day. Here are a few gems.

Melissa
Annie
Kaylie
Gina
Kat
Um...me.
Rachel
And last but not least...Emily.
Emily, you're my friend...and I'm not sad about it. Welcome to year 25.
